The cheese-farm trail without guide
Breathe in the fresh air from the mountains and our forests, discover the green pastures of La Gruyère with its herds of cows and enjoy authentic alpine chalets with their shingle roofs between Pringy and Moléson village or vice versa.
The short hike Moléson-Village to Pringy is a stroll through the picturesque landscape of Gruyère. The dairy-farms of Moléson and Pringy are central to this educational path. Along the road, you will see educational panels to discover the secrets of making cheese.
Two routes are suggested by Reybes or by La Provêta. Before starting your hike, ask for a walking-sheet at the dairy. After two hours of hiking you will reach the other dairy and there you will receive a diploma!
The imposing summit Moléson stands tall as a guard over the valley. At the foot of the giant, in the village of the same name, begins the adventure trail. There are two routes: one by Reybes (described here) and the other by the Provêta.
The walk starts at the panel 10, that of the Alpine dairy Moléson-Village. The route passes through the panels 11 to 20 Pringy down to where it ends at the Maison du Gruyère (panel 1). Along the way you will pass through beautiful forests and pastures.
